The Family business started in the early 1950s by my grandfather and father with a Sunoco Service Station in downtown Ambler.

I started working after kindergarten around 1955, filling the oil racks and the windshield washer buckets. Then I slowly grew to pumping gas and other filling station services along with cleaning the bays and helping with minor services like tire repairs and lube services, in time I was learning about brakes, tune-ups, and electrical repairs.

I worked through my school years and in 1968, I began a vocational-technical program in high school where I was at the top of my class for 3 years and in my senior year won the local Plymouth troubleshooting contest and traveled to Indianapolis for the finals.

After graduation, I went to work full time in the family garage which had relocated to our current location in 1960, where I spent all my time learning the automotive trade from my uncle and other excellent mechanics over the next few years along with other training classes and around 1985 I began to supervise the shop and oversee customers and their vehicles.

I feel that a customer’s trust is a very important part of my business and the customer always comes first and is a major part of the repair process. Explaining in plain simple language to both male and female customers is important for them to understand the reason for the repairs and maintenance.

I take pride in the customer’s expectation for me to keep their vehicles running and in safe operating order as their vehicle is most likely one of their most expensive investments.
